Rialto shoppers who use CalFresh or EBT cards can stretch their grocery dollars at the Rialto Certified Farmers Market through its Market Match program.

The market runs every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 290 W. Rialto Ave. The next scheduled date, Nov. 11, falls on Veterans Day. The city of Rialto's event calendar lists the market for that date, but residents may want to call 909-820-2519 to confirm hours.

The city's farmers market page describes the Market Match benefit at the Healthy Rialto booth inside the market. Step-by-step instructions on the page say shoppers withdraw $15 from their EBT card and receive a matching $15 in fruit and vegetable tokens. A separate summary on the same page lists the benefit at up to $10 in free fruits and vegetables. The match is available once per card, per week.

The market is also recruiting burger, bread, mushroom and herb, jam/jelly/preserve, and kombucha vendors. General merchandise, arts and crafts, and information booths are not accepted.
