Two Rialto facilities are serving as cooling and heating centers for residents who need weather relief.

The City of Rialto announced on X on Monday, Oct. 26, that both the Grace Vargas Senior Center and the Rialto Community Center are available as cooling and heating centers.

Here are the locations and hours:

Grace Vargas Senior Center 1411 S. Riverside Ave. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.

Rialto Community Center 214 N. Palm Ave. Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The city's announcement did not list Saturday hours for the Grace Vargas Senior Center or Sunday hours for the Rialto Community Center.

The city also highlighted its Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) Support Program in the same announcement. During a PSPS event or extreme weather, Rialto residents who are seniors, veterans or individuals with disabilities can apply for support through that program, according to the city. The PSPS program offers hotel vouchers and portable power banks for eligible residents. Priority is given to those who rely on medical devices or essential equipment, the city said.

Residents can apply and learn more at the city's PSPS Support Program page.
